By autumn 2026 the Aviamasters family fields three simultaneously live titles, and the question of what separates the sequel carries more weight than it would for an ordinary second part. The holiday edition of 2025 trained the audience to believe that a "new version" can simply mean a new picture. Aviamasters 2 is the opposite case, and the comparison below separates what BGaming declares officially from what we know from reviewer data — row by row.
What exactly we are comparing
Two principal versions: the original Aviamasters of July 2, 2024, and Aviamasters 2 of March 5, 2026. The Christmas edition sits here as a technical third party: it inherits the first game's math and demonstrates, better than any prose, what a purely cosmetic difference looks like — which makes the sequel's evolution easier to see.
Both games remain in lobbies at the same time, and that shapes how the table should be read. This is not an upgrade-versus-legacy choice; it is two risk profiles living side by side. The sequel did not replace the original — it added a layer of boosters and a purchasable landing guarantee on top of a preserved core, so the rows below work both as a changelog and as a menu.
The table: ten rows
| Row | Aviamasters (2024) | Aviamasters 2 (2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Release date | 02.07.2024 | 05.03.2026 |
| RTP | 97% | 97.00% |
| Volatility | low | medium-low |
| Round ceiling | ×250 | ×1000 (press release: "quadrupled") |
| Win cap | €250,000 | €250,000 |
| Bet range | 0.10–1000* | 0.10–250* |
| Landing zone | aircraft carrier | island |
| Boosters | none | 4: Magnet, Laser Gun, Nitro, Life Buoy |
| Buy bonus | none | Safe Landing at 50× bet, can be disabled |
| Rockets | cut the Counter Balance in half | cut the Counter Balance in half — unchanged |
The asterisk on the bet rows is our standard mark: neither range is officially published; those figures come from press data and aggregator consensus, and we do not file them under provider facts. All the other nine rows trace to official pages.
What carried over untouched: rockets, water, and the missing cash-out
Three things the sequel did not rebuild — and they happen to be the three where newcomer expectations break most often. Rockets behave identically: when one appears on the path, it cuts the accumulated sum in half and bends the trajectory downward, without ending the round. We walked through that mechanism step by step in a dedicated piece on rockets in both — including how the halving rule quietly steers long-session statistics.
Water is still water: a splash means a lost round, in the sequel too — unless a Life Buoy triggers or the purchase mode is on. And the headline: there is no cash-out in either version. No early exit, no stop button before touchdown; a round is always played to land or water. The economics of that design — what the absence of an early fix costs, and how it shapes a session's statistics — is its own calculation, kept separate because the comparison table cannot do it justice.
The skeleton of the round also moved over unchanged: start at ×1.0, collect the additive +1/+2/+5/+10 and multiplier ×2/×3/×4/×5 tokens, four viewing speeds with the walking icon as default. The press release calls the core landing mechanics unchanged, and the parts list above agrees.
What grew on top of the core
Three layers rose above the preserved base. The first is boosters: Magnet pulls multipliers and holds the plane near the island, Laser Gun clears rockets from the path, Nitro speeds the flight up with rocket immunity, and Life Buoy bounces the plane back from the water. The round became eventful — a symbol on the trajectory now changes it, rather than merely inflating the counter.
The second layer is Safe Landing, a purchasable guarantee of a touchdown every round at 50× the bet, switchable off and activatable only at the start of a round. It is the most expensive and most debatable row in the comparison: the mode's economics deserve their own material, not a compressed paragraph.
The third layer is the risk profile. Volatility moved up from low to medium-low, the ceiling stretched from ×250 to ×1000 with the €250,000 cap and the 97% RTP unchanged. In session language: the share of zero or micro-payout rounds stays roughly the same, mid-range landings spread a little wider, and the tail grows longer. The bet range, per affiliate data, narrowed from 0.10–1000 to 0.10–250 — and in both versions the maximum bet appears tuned so that the top multiplier meets the cap exactly: ×250 of €1000 and ×1000 of €250 both produce €250,000. The symmetry looks too neat to be accidental, but it deserves checking against an official sheet, if BGaming ever publishes one.
Which version to pick
The recommendation follows from why you play. If the goal is a long, calm session with rare surprises, the original is staying put: the low profile and simplicity deliver exactly what its fans pay for, and the sequel's boosters add nothing to that job. If you want an eventful round where a collected symbol changes the trajectory and insurance can be bought at a visible price, take the second part. The RTP is identical; the decision lives in the dispersion profile, not in "fairness".
For newcomers the sequel is the rational entry point, since boosters complicate nothing about learning and both titles ship demo modes. If the comparison raised more questions than it settled, our full sequel overview carries the live data, the statistical discrepancies and seven months of verdicts.
